Tarir, the Forgotten City, is a golden city home of the Exalted. It is located in Auric Basin, Heart of Thorns expansion. The Exalted, originally humans of flesh and blood, were recruited by the Forgotten to safeguard Glint’s egg (Glint was a good dragon) after it left stasis. To fulfill this task, they were changed into beings of energy. You will see screenshots below of them in their energy bodies and gold armor.
Tarir is a beautiful city with golden halls and underground tunnels. There is a large event that takes place in this city called Octovine. The cities entryways are closed by what is a huge vine. There is a north, south, east and west entrance to the city. Players must form groups at each entrance and kill the vines closing the pathways. Each octovine has a slime covering that makes it immune to damage until it is removed. For example, on the east entrance players will pick up bombs and glide over the vine dropping the bombs on top of the vine to breakthrough the slime and proceed with doing damage. Each location has a certain task to perform to breakthrough the slime and proceed with taking down the octovine to restore the city. Once the mission is completed there are approximately 27 exalted chests underground that can be open by the player with keys. In these chests are all kinds of rewards, some being armor, weapons, and crafting materials. There are some screenshots below.
